18th Annual Minority Law & Research Institute

The Minority Law and Research Institute is designed to expose and prepare under-represented students to consider careers in Law. Rising 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade and first-year college students will participate in the program. This is an effective way for identifying and recruiting future Law School students. 

Students participating in the Minority Law and Research Institute will: Prepare for careers in Law and the legal profession. Increase their motivation and career awareness in Law and the legal profession. Increase their aptitude in Political Science, research, public speaking and their performance on standardized tests.

Cost: Tuition, room and board will be paid by Aunt Berta's kids Education Foundation for all selected participants. Participants will be required to pay a non-refundable $60 application fee. The students will be housed in supervised residence halls at Southern University and will be provided three meals a day at no cost to the students. Students are required to pay for their own transportation to and from Southern University in Baton Rouge and will be responsible for personal expenses.
