MetroCast is proud to partner with C-SPAN to bring  its annual student documentary competition, StudentCam, now in its 14th year.

StudentCam is C-SPAN's annual national video documentary competition that encourages students to think critically about issues that affect our communities and our nation.

This year students in grades 6-12 are asked to create a short (5-7 minute) video documentary on a topic related to the new 2018 competition theme, "The Constitution & You: Choose a provision of the U.S. Constitution and create a video illustrating why it's important to you."

Completed videos must be submitted to www.studentcam.org by Jan. 18, 2018.

The C-SPAN Education Foundation awards 150 student and 53 teacher prizes, totaling $100,000 in cash. All student winners will receive cash prizes ranging from $250-$5,000, and teachers who are listed as faculty advisors will have a chance to win cash prizes as well.

For more details on the competition, FAQs, teacher testimonials and past winning videos, please visit www.studentcam.org. If you have any questions, email the C-SPAN Classroom team at educate@c-span.org.
