Fredericksburg Regional Governor's School for Gifted Students

Students who will be completing ninth through eleventh grades in 2018 and who have been identified as gifted within their school division are eligible to apply to the 

Chemistry Lab/Forensic Science summer program.  Location: James Monroe High School, June 25-29, 2018, 9 am - 3 pm

Students will work in teams to investigate analytical techniques used to identify unknown substances in the lab. This course will provide opportunities for students to gain practical knowledge of chemistry laboratory procedures and to develop thinking skills, problem solving methods, and team work. No previous experience in chemistry is necessary for this course. Tuition FREE - The fredericksburg Regional Governor's School is supported by our business community, participating school divisions and a grant from the State department of Education, Programs for the Gifted.
