Fredericksburg Regional Governor's School Summer Program 2019

Students in grades 6 - 11 and identified as gifted are encouraged to apply for this FREE program!  

Program for grades 9 - 11, (rising 10th-12th grades): Chemistry Lab/Forensic Science 
Location: James Monroe High School.
Dates & Times: June 24 - June 28, 2019   9 am to 3 pm
Course Description: Students will work in teams to investigate analytical techniques used to identify unknown substances in the lab. These laboratory techniques, inorganic qualitative analyses, are usually part of a college chemistry program.  Students will take a field rip as part of the course. Students will gain practical knowledge of chemistry laboratory procedures and to develop thinking skills, problem solving methods, and team work.

Applications available in the Counseling office.

Deadline: March 18, 2019 for Chemistry Lab/Forensic Science
