Hanover Regional Governor's School for Career & Technical Advancement

The HRGS-CTA is a regional two-week summer residential program for gifted CTE students who have demonstrated accomplishment, aptitude, and interest in CTE curricula and careers. The HRGS-CTA will focus on workplace readiness and entrepreneurial skill development. Students skills will be cultivated and honed through:
  • group problem solving
  • guest speakers from the business & academic communities
  • field trips to regional businesses that are leaders in their fields
  • mentorship experiences that highlight workplace readiness within the context of students' individual career interests.
  • and many fun, recreational, and team building activities
Who May Apply: Rising Juniors who are enrolled in at least one CTE course with a grade of 'B' or better and who expect to continue in the CTE program during their final two years of high school; OR Rising Seniors who have completed at least one credit in a CTE course and/or are currently enrolled in a CTE course with a grade of a 'B' or better and who expect to continue in the CTE program during their final year of high school.
Dates: July 8 - July 21, 2018, at the University of Richmond
