King George Blood Drives - Red Cord of Life Award

Each year the Anatomy and Physiology Class host a Fall and Spring Blood Drive. This year the dates are:

Fall Blood Drive: Tuesday, November 21, 2017, in the auditorium

SPRING Blood Drive: Wednesday, February 21, 2018, in the auditorium

Also, please look at the red cross' Website. Information regarding the Red Cord of Life Program, a recognition program which we do here at King George High School for graduating seniors and possible scholarships which may be of interest to individuals who donate blood. To receive a Red Cord from KGHS for graduation, the following criteria MUST be followed:

  • Be a graduating senior during the 2017-2018 school year
  • Participate in BOTH the Fall and Spring blood drives at King George High School
  • Participate in a blood drive on your own outside of the school drives, this needs to occur during the window of, after August 14, 2017 but on or before September 22, 2017 (to be eligible to give on November 21 KGHS drive)
  • Students will be responsible for bringing in proof of participation from the outside drive. This could include (but is not limited to) the paperwork that they received at the drive, a printout from the Red Cross Website that lists donation date, or a note from a representative of the drive. Proof MUST HAVE STUDENT'S NAME ON IT!
