Scholarships with Deadlines in February

Gordan A. Rich Memorial Scholarship - Deadline: February 20, 2018
Applicants must be dependent children of full-time employees in the financial services industry (commercial banks, investment banks, securities brokerage firms, insurance companies, fund and asset management companies, credit card and finance companies and similar businesses as determined by the Foundation). Students must be graduating high school seniors who are enrolling as full time first year students in pursuit of a four-year bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university in the United States, have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and rank in the top 20% of their class. Students must demonstrate financial need.

VSGA-VIP Golf Scholarship - Deadline: February 21, 2018
Any Virginia high school senior, in good standing, who has been domiciled in Virginia since Sept. 1, 2017. Candidates must be in good academic standing at any high school or equivalent level institution acceptable to the VSGA-VIP Scholarship Foundation. Consideration for a scholarship is based on the following criteria:
Does candidate play golf or have any interest in an activity associated with golf? (Skill and ability are neither requirements nor considerations). Candidate’s academic achievement (course work, grade-point average and standardized test scores). Candidate’s character (activities outside the classroom, including work, community service, school clubs, etc.). Essay to the VSGA–VIP Scholarship Foundation. Financial need will be reviewed in the evaluation of scholarship applicants.
All applications must be made on the candidate’s behalf, by a representative of a member club of the Virginia State Golf Association, Inc. and submitted to:

Mike Clift Memorial Scholarship - Deadline: February 23, 2018
This scholarship is open to all graduating King George High School seniors who are interested in furthering their education. Write a personal statement that exemplifies how you are hardworking, goal-oriented, generous, community oriented, king and/or helpful. Two letters of recommendation are required.  Copies available in the Counseling office and the file below.

Virginia Military Dependent Capitol One Scholarship - Deadline: February 28, 2018
The purpose of this scholarship is to aid and honor talented high school seniors who are the dependents of Servicemembers, and have exemplified excellence through school work and community involvement. Scholarship amount: $5,000. Eligibility criteria: current high school senior, attending college or university in the upcoming academic year, Virginia resident, U.S. Citizen or legal resident, dependent of an activity duty Servicemember, or dependent of a Servicemember in the National Guard or Reserves.
