University of Virginia's Society of Women Engineers High School Visitation

Want to see if Engineering is right for you? 
The Society of Women Engineers at the University of Virginia invites young women to apply for a our High School Visitation Program happening on November 17, 2018.
About the Program: 
The program gives young women a comprehensive look at engineering fields and at UVA’s engineering curriculum through informative speakers, lab tours and hands-on design activities. The program is designed to benefit participants with all levels of engineering experience. They particularly target those students who are not yet familiar with the field but may be interested in applying to engineering schools or pursuing an engineering career. This fall session particularly targets high school seniors, but sophomores and juniors can also apply. Interested students may be selected to spend Saturday night (November 17th) in UVA dorms with SWE members. 
Program Activities: 
The High School Visitation Program teaches young women about the different types of engineering as well as UVA’s engineering curriculum through fun and interactive experiences. Some of the events throughout the day are: ● Design Activity ● Engineering Majors Fair ● Scavenger Hunt around Grounds ● Lab and Dorm Tours ● Professional and Student Panels ● Tour of UVA How to apply: The application to apply for Fall High School Visitation can be found at our website: http://www.virginiaswe.org/hsv    Applications are due by October 22nd, 2018 at 11:59 PM.
