posted May 3, 2018, 7:50 AM by Terri Morrison
Rappahannock Council Against Sexual Assault (RCASA) in Fredericksburg, VA is a local non-profit where high-school students can find volunteer work. They are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to join them in their mission to help survivors of Sexual Violence, as well as prevent future assaults from happening.

RCASA  will hold volunteer training starting on May 26, 2018 (dates and times are attached in flyer below).  The Sexual Assault Crisis and Advocacy training is an intensive 40 hour endeavor that is held over a two week period.  This training is mandatory to receive the completion certificate and to be able to volunteer at  RCASA.  Volunteers who complete the training have the ability to sign up for the Crisis Hotline, Community Outreach Programs, Fundraising, Hospital Accompaniment, Administrative Duties and much more.  Participants must be 16 years of age to take the training, and 18 years of age to participate in crisis response.

Students interested in attending the May training, should email Na'la Phillips at Volunteer@Rcasa.org, or submit an online application, which can be done at their website   http://www.rcasa.org/get-involved.html

After applicants complete the application, and prior to attending the training, they will need to schedule an interview with Ms. Phillips.
